The Yorkshire Dales are famous for rolling hills, dry stone walls, quaint stone barns, dramatic waterfalls, and all at a slow pace to be able to enjoy it. During the early summer, many fields erupt with wild flowers which the local famers allow to run riot so that it can be cut for silage later in the year. The upshot for those of a creative persuasion is all the attactions of the area, but with an injection of heady colour and extra interest.
We will start on Thursday at Catrake Force near Keld, and then after lunch head up the valley to the ruins of Crackpot Hall overlooking the valley of Swaledale. Day two will start in the village of Thwaite where we will wander through the wildflower meadows towards the village of Muker making the most of the wildflower colour, and the stone barns and walls. We will return to Thwaite by a slightly different route, but still using the attractions of the area as our subjects. Day three, Saturday, will be spent at the dramatic and very accessable Aysgarth Falls, and surrounding woodland.
* Please note that I reserve the right to amend this schedule depending on accessibility and suitability at the time.
** Also, there is no sunrise or sunset planning in this workshop. This is due to the extremely early (04:45ish) sunrise, and late (21:40ish) sunset times.
The workshop is restricted to four people to keep a small and friendly group, and give you all plenty of time with me on each day.
A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure your place. If the workshop is cancelled by me, all monies paid to me, including the deposit, will be refunded. No further liability can be accepted. The participant is responsible for their own travel, accommodation, food and insurance costs.
