This workshop is now FULLY BOOKED!
The Lakes are a beautiful, inspiring location for any artist, but late October early November sees this area bursting with finest, richest colours that nature can provide (although each autumn is unique - vibrant colour is NOT guaranteed). Add to that dramatic mountains, mirror still lakes, bubbling streams, and fantastic woodland and you have the perfect mix of subjects to get the creative juices fired up.
On Thursday we will all meet up at the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, which is conveniently situated right next door to Derwent Water. After having an introduction and catchup we will then spend the first part of the day on the shores of Derwent water working our way down toward Friar's Crag and the bay beyond it. Sunset will either be taken at Derwent Water, or we may relocate to the ancient Castlerigg stone circle or maybe the very photogenic Surprise View (taking in Ashness Bridge on the way). The locations for the second and third days will be very much subject to what the weather provides, however it may include Watendlath Tarn, Blea Tarn, Crummock Water, Grasmere, woodland at Thirlmere, the falls at Stock Ghyll in Ambleside, Skelwith Bridge and Falls, or even Rydall Hall.
* Please note that I reserve the right to amend this schedule depending on accessibility and suitability at the time.
** There MAY BE opportunities on the second and third mornings for sunrise outings, usually at Derwent Water or Castlerigg stone circle. Full details will be given during the workshop introduction on Thursday and will be dependant on car parking availability at the days locations.
The workshop is restricted to four people to keep a small and friendly group, and give you all plenty of time with me on each day.
A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure your place. If the workshop is cancelled by me, all monies paid to me, including the deposit, will be refunded. No further liability can be accepted. The participant is responsible for their own travel, accommodation, food and insurance costs.
